Mac 50 measures moisture content with it´s infrared technology by heating and drying the samples. It has a built-in weighing scale with 50 g capacity and 0.001 g accuracy.
Moisture accuracy is 0.01% below 1.5 g and 0.001% above 1.5 g.
USE of Mac 50 GRAIN MOISTURE ANALYZER: It firstly weighs the product inside fire resistant sample cup and stores it in memory. Then it dryes the product by hallogen lamp up to prespecified temperature. When there is no weight change, it stops the heating. Calculates the total weight loss and displays the result in terms of moisture%.
Use of the product is simple. Tare the measuring cup and put the product inside and close the cover. Over heating causes burning of products, low heating takes to much time. You can find the best heating by trial and error method.
Temperature setups for each product can be stored in the memory of the device.
Measuring time is changeable depending on moisture level of products as well as other features. Also, when over sampling is done, response time will be longer. 2 g sampling is ideal if you do not know amount of sampling.
The best way of analyzing moisture content of products is to grind them in laboratory grinders before the testing.
