LX-A Shore A durometers are used to measure the hardness or stiffness of materials. The durometer is used to measure the hardness or stiffness of a material, especially of an elastomer, such as rubber, cauchuk, polyakrilics, pvc, vynils, etc. A simple durometer consists of a movable tip on a spring with a dial gauge
GENERAL PROPERTIES OF LX-A SHORE A DUROMETER:
- The durometer is delivered inside a protective plastic case.
- Easy to use hardness meter.
- Durable structure.
HOW TO MAKE A MEASUREMENT?
Place the tip of the durometer on the material to be measured. Press on the durometer with a certain force and manually observe the result in terms of shore. The hardness of materials depend on attribute, structure and stiffness of them.
Thickness of the material measured should be at least 6.4 mm(0.25 inch).
