Ordinary Sugar (° Bx) Values in the Measured Solution:
100 g by weight of a solution of 25 ° Bx; That means it's 25 grams of sugar. In other words, 25 grams of 25 ° Bx solution having a weight of 100 grams is sugar and 75 grams is water.
HOW TO MEASURE?
Hold the refractometer by holding the body with the oblique socket on which the sample at the end is facing towards the light, and with the cover closed, position the binocular part of the instrument in your eye and try to read the value from the measurement table. If the values you see are not clear, you can adjust the sharpness by turning the adjustment ring and turning measurement table right and left just above the binoculars.
Setting Zero: First open the prism cover, drop 1-2 drops of pure water onto the curved prism surface and close the cover slowly. So; a thin layer of water will remain between the prism surface and the lid. The dark-light separation image seen around the 0 (zero) line of the measurement table, if not; for exact alignment with the dimension line zero line Turn the Calibration Screw with the aid of a screwdriver to ensure that the Dark-Light separation coincides with the dimension line zero line.
